# Shipping Guide

Learn about shipping methods, costs, delivery times, and tracking for BabyMarket.deals orders

## How Shipping Works

BabyMarket.deals makes shipping simple and automated for sellers:

   When a buyer purchases your item, a shipping label is automatically generated
2. **2**

   You receive an email with the shipping label that you can download from your Orders page
3. **3**

   Print the label, pack your item securely, and attach the label to the package
4. **4**

   Drop off the package at the carrier's location

## Available Shipping Methods

We work with multiple carriers including PostNL, DHL, and DPD. The buyer selects their preferred carrier and delivery method at checkout based on their needs and location.

  Netherlands' leading postal service with reliable 24-48h delivery
- **DHL**

  Fast and affordable delivery with extensive drop-off network
- **DPD**

  Flexible delivery options with home and parcel shop delivery

## Package Requirements & Guidelines

To ensure smooth delivery and avoid extra charges, please follow these packaging guidelines:

**A rigid cardboard box is required.** Do not ship an item in a plastic bag, wrapped in foil or bubble wrap, in polystyrene, in an envelope or in its own retail packaging. The carrier cannot pass those through automated sorting and charges a manual handling surcharge, which reaches us weeks after delivery.

### **Packaging Rules**

- Use a box that suits the item's weight and size, and stay within the dimensions and weight on the listing. Smaller is fine, bigger is not.
- Wrap fragile items with bubble wrap or packing paper inside the box
- Seal the box securely with strong packing tape
- Stick the shipping label flat and horizontal on the largest side, with the barcode clear and no tape across it
- Hand the parcel to the staff at the drop off point and wait until they scan the label. That scan is your proof that you handed it over.

- Do not add Fragile or Handle with care stickers. They route the parcel to manual sorting, which is surcharged

## Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically based on:

- Package dimensions (length, width, height)
- Package weight
- Destination address and selected shipping method

Buyers pay shipping costs at checkout. You see the exact cost before purchasing.

### **Shipping Cost Factors**

- Shipping costs are calculated based on package size, weight, and destination
- Each carrier has different size and weight limits
- Oversized or heavy packages may incur additional charges
- Exact costs are shown at checkout before payment

If a listing appears inconsistent, for example a stroller listed as 1 x 1 x 1 cm, a large item placed in the wrong category, or multiple large items combined in one listing, we may review it manually. When the correct category, subcategory, package dimensions, or package weight are reasonably clear, we may update the listing ourselves and notify the seller. If seller input is needed, we may email the seller and send one reminder after 24 to 48 hours. If the issue is not resolved, or if the listing cannot be safely corrected, we may hide or cancel the listing until the issue is resolved.

## Tracking Your Order

All shipments include tracking numbers for both buyers and sellers. After the seller ships the item, you'll receive an email with tracking information. You can also view tracking details on your Orders page.
