Selling and shipping baby items
From your first listing to the payout: this is how you sell second-hand baby gear without meetups and without chasing payments.
Before you start
You create a free account and verify once with Stripe, our payment partner. For that you need your BSN and a bank account, and an ID if Stripe asks for it. It takes a few minutes.
Listing is free. You only pay a commission once something is sold.
A good listing
Buyers cannot ask you questions beforehand; contact details are only shared after a purchase. So put everything a buyer wants to know in the listing.
- Use your own photos of the item, from all sides and showing any signs of use.
- Describe the condition honestly and name everything that is included.
- State the item's age and any repairs.
- Enter the parcel's size and weight as you will ship it.
Shipping
After the sale we create the shipping label for you. The buyer has already paid for shipping. You download the label from your order page and take the parcel to a drop off point.
Ship on time: after 2 days we send a reminder, and if the parcel has not reached the carrier after 7 days, the order is cancelled and the buyer gets their money back.
- Pack the item in a sturdy cardboard box, never in a plastic bag or wrap.
- Stick the label so the barcode is easy to read, with no tape over it, and remove old labels.
- Hand the parcel to the staff and wait until the label is scanned.
Payout
You are paid automatically once the carrier has scanned the parcel and the payout period has passed. Our commission and Stripe's fees are deducted first; how that works exactly is on the Payment & Fees page.
If the parcel is not a sturdy box, or is bigger or heavier than you entered, the carrier charges extra. We pass that cost on to you without a mark up.
